So this is based off the most recent movie and not the cartoon that was made a few years ago?

Yes, this is the sequel series being released inbetween Mutant Mayhem and that film's sequel coming out October 2026, greenlit for 2 production seasons.

Great! Rise wasn't very good and this recent movie was great and I hope this series is good.
