How do some people manage to create so much drama over absolutely nothing?

It seems to me that things are being invented over at that forum and then a dozen other threads spawn pointing to that initial thread as "evidence" as to their claim about the invented item.

I've never seen a group more desperate to legitimize all the money they've wasted on their format of choice. It's fine to be a zealot but some of those people are seriously overboard and manic in the way they analyze any little thing.

Personally, I appreciate knowing Disney has announced all their titles for the season. If that is all the titles they are going to put out for any reason then I fully respect that. I know I'm looking forward to a lot of their titles. And I don't see how anyone that wasn't mentally unstable can see Disney as anything but a studio that is 100% committed to Blu-ray. They have gone as far as to pre-announce a few titles all the way through 2008. If that isn't forward-looking commitment, then I don't know what is.

it seems to me that ppl are bored with this format war, just want it to end, and make up news about nothing to have something to get excited over.

Nothing to see here gang, move along, move along. Disney is NOT going neutral. The are not going to switch sides, this I can assure you.

It takes a huge amount of time to get material together, author it and encode it for replication. Disney takes their time to do it right, unlike Universal which just puts titles out without much thought to quality. So you are essentially seeing that Disney doesn't have time to put out quality products aside from those already announced before the end of the year.

This is not a sign they are retreating, they are actually basking in the fact that the titles they have released are considered some of the best looking and sounding blurays out there. They want region coding and extra protection of their intellectual property. The DVD forum has already closed the door on both, and Disney support as well.

So now that we have dispensed with this, go buy blurays!!!!!

Disney is not going neutral. They have released a few titles coming out in 2008 on blu ray along with apporximate times of the year (not exact dates). They are as follows:

The Chronicles of Narnia: The lion, the with and the wardrobe (Sping 2008--Probably around april or May to create hype for Secong Narnia movie in theaters in May 2008)

National Treasure (summer 2008)

Sleeping Beauty (platinum Edition in October 2008)

Finding Nemo (Fall 2008)

This information can be found at http://www.ultimatedisney.com

Look on the left of the screen and under New and Upcmoing clik on disney blu-ray list.

Exactly! How about people cutting the crap about this. I'm sick of all of the "Freaking out", over dramatized, over sensationalized threads and comments. Take a BIG chill pill to those individuals who like to sensationalize every tiny anticipated or hypothesized movement any one or any company may or may not make in regards to HD. Please knock it off! This is getting so old now, it makes showing up to this site less and less enjoyable.

I have most of the worst HDDVD zealots on ignore, so my posting has been going down. I still lurk but the HDTV software media forum is nigh worthless now. Didn't realize how much FUD those clowns were spreading...

If this keeps up, we're going to have to set an age limit on this forum. I know, that would be a sad day.

I really can't believe the stuff that is said on that place. I never thought that i would see something like it. If there's a group of people that i think would actually physically would hurt someone because of the HD battle those guys are it. Truly out of this world.

Why is this surprising? I've known that there wouldn't be more 07 releases past Underdog for months...heck it's been said before...

So...wtf? Why were people expecting more from Disney in the first place?

No more from Disney, but it doesn't necessarily mean there are no more releases from Buena Vista coming this year...
