Maybe if I go further back in the thread people were disappointed in the caps or something.

Only 5 minutes in, and this is already one of the most offensive movies I have seen in years! Hahaha

Hollywood couldn’t come close to making this today!

My copy from Target also arrived slip-less. Other WB titles Terminator, Beetlejuice 2 and North By Northwest were all in the same package and all had slips.

Just loop the bean scene for an hour or two anytime you want to see what hollywood has been up to since Kubrick and Kurosawa left in 98 and 99.

I too received my copy of BS without a slip. I know it shows not having one, so was just wondering about others not getting a slip. I had gotten "Signs" and "Sixth Sence" without slip covers and returned as missing items, and did receive replacements with slips.

Just finished BS (first time ever seeing it). I didn’t know they made movies this funny in the 70s haha!

I may be in the minority here, but I caught myself laughing out loud much more with BS than I did with Airplane or Naked Gun.

They did (re)make it today… as an animated “family” film.

After finishing BS, I quickly searched for Brooks’ best movies. A lot of people said YF. Hopefully that will come to 4k!

I watched the trailer and can see myself enjoying it.

Young Frankenstein is Disney - the 4K DCP looks great though. Hopefully it gets a disc

I'll still be keeping the disc, but I was somewhat underwhelmed by what I viewed. By the way, the site review gave the video 4.5/5 stars.

See, and then I see this post and I wonder if I'm being too critical of it.
Welp, I'm back to eat some crow, folks. I originally skipped around the disc on my living room set (65" Vizio PQ65 from a few years back) which still produces a very nice picture, but was calibrated by me (and I'm not a professional) and based my impressions above on that experience. Last night, I popped it on my professionally calibrated LG C1 OLED in the basement and I must say my impression improved. At the risk of repetition, I won't go into all the minutiae, but suffice to say the experience was far more in line with what notops said below. I'll do better next time and do my viewing on that set before I provide my two cents.

It also better represents the naturally softer texture of the anamorphic photography, eliminating the mild sharpening presumably used to dazzle buyers with that newfangled disc format back in 2006.

According to an interview with Mel Brooks (which is on the Blu-ray in the featurette "Back in the Saddle"), Bart's line was scripted, but refused by Warner Brothers. This line wasn't filmed.
