Okay, so here's the situation:
A number of people have recently sent me private messages here asking for my definitive hentai Blu-ray release checklist.
Unfortunately, the private message system only allows a very limited amount of info to be sent at a single time.
In other words, I would have to send everyone somewhere between 4 and 15 (?) individual messages each just to complete the list.

So with that said, there are 3 options:

1. Do you folks want me to create an entirely brand new dedicated thread, separate from this [18+] Hentai Releases thread, specifically for this?
(Possibly titled something such as "[18+] Hentai Blu-ray Releases Guide" or something else?)

2. Just randomly make 2 giant posts here in this thread with all the information?

3. Go ahead and start slowly sending everyone 4-15 private messages?

Just let me know here before I waste too much time on the wrong method...

I'd say it's up to BigOnAnime since I believe this is his thread. I don't recommend the private messages route since it will take you much longer and be a pain. Also having the list in the open will probably help many people googling that very thing in a few years. Your list may just become the definitive go-to for US hentai releases

Believe it or not, I did try sending just a text list such as the following:

But I still couldn't fit anything more than the first 22 titles or so from the Kitty Media section alone in a single message.
There's a limit with the number of "characters" used so the more letters needed to spell out a title, the less space I had to include more in a single message.

If anyone else besides Girls With Guns is interested in a "no-frills" & "super condensed" list for the current minimum of 77 Blu-ray releases needed to "own everything", feel free to send me a private message and I'll send you one as soon as possible.

Thanks for the list! This and the other info in this thread from BigOnAnime and others is a great reference.

So is Teacher's Carnal Courses really the only Murakami Teruaki release on bluray? That surprises me. Also no Kuroinu, which along with Murakami's works besides the one just mentioned don't appear to be listed on this site

Is there any difference between Ladies vs Butlers from Anime Works and the one on this list here from Kitty Media?

Mainly only licensed hentai are on this site, the members here are the ones that make the entries. I added a ton of the entries myself so I could attach the Blu-ray and DVD releases to them (lots of those also being added by myself). The lack of foreign hentai releases has to do with the fact hardly anyone here is adding them. You would also need someone that actually knows what's out there.

I also still need to get around to adding the few hundred missing hentai to ANN. The encyclopedia editor that was adding them went inactive sometime in 2012, and nobody else bothered to take over. I've only primarily added stuff as Kitty Media has been licensing it.

BTW, should be noted, the only things being licensed are from MS Pictures, so if a title isn't from MSP, it's SOL atm. Will be interesting to see what happens if we reach the point where the entire library from MSP has been licensed. At the rate they're going, they will reach that point before the end of this decade.

Something I just noticed, 5 of the 6 titles that SoftCel Pictures 2.0 had licensed also came from MS Pictures, with Mezzo Forte being the exception, that was from Green Bunny.

Urotsukidoji is getting a box set release from Showten in Japan. Looking at the screenshots though it looks like they've just taken old SD masters and tossed them on Bluray which is a bit disappointing

The release date for the first is June 30 2025, and the second is October 31 2025. I do really hate these overly-long waits for pre-order figures...

More like June 2025 and October 2025, if you see a day, that's absolutely a placeholder, the actual day during the month will be random, could be earlier in the month, could be later. You get used to the long waits and delays after enough time (I'm in my 11th year of collecting). The length between pre-orders and release (excluding delays) has seemingly gotten much bigger now, and you still get delays.

Delays, delays, delays... This figure I pre-odered in October 2023 has been delayed from June 2024 to July 2024, then to September 2024, then to November 2024, and now she's set for January 2025, and might get delayed again.

6 years from announcement to finally getting it? Now that's patience. I want to start collecting figures but they're just so expensive I have a hard time justifying it. What got you guys over that hurdle and made you decide to start?

Things were much cheaper when I first started, but they had already increased a lot before that. Shipping was also still expensive, but not nearly as expensive now (a single 1/4 scale used to be like 4,000 EMS, now it's almost 11,000 yen EMS). Only thing that helps is the exchange rate (was $1=110-120 yen, Brexit made it $1=105 yen, now it's cratered to $1=155 yen, though Trump's tariff threats may strengthen the yen a lot).

Boy would 2010 me go "WTF?" seeing where I am at now, especially when I spent $1,251.73 on this last April (she got delayed multiple times too, October 2022 to March 2023, then April 2023). So many months of saving. Still regularly can't believe I went through with it, she remains the centerpiece of my collection and my favorite figure.

Guessing people can't see stuff marked as "NSFW" when not logged in. MFC has multiple settings, SFW+, SFW, NSFW, and NSFW+, with that last one having to be set in the settings, it doesn't show up in the drop down in the top right corner. Here's the figure in question.

I remember saying a while ago on Twitter I wouldn't pay 40,000+ yen on a 1/4 scale (38,500 yen was already pushing it), and then yeah... Also not an 18+ figure but also finally pulled the lever. Will I do that a 3rd time? Unless it's a Yukina, Houki, or Kurumi 1/4 scale figure, probably not.

I typically buy a lot of random stuff on visual appeal. At the current figure prices plus shipping I’ve been putting a lot more thought in “Do I really need this?”. If worse comes to worse the Bear Panda 1/4’s are nice plus cheap and I can shift my focus to just To Love Ru stuff as they still release quite a bit from it. Though I’m really thinking about getting out completely. Hobby is expensive and I don’t really have much if any room left. I have looking at what I bothered to keep track of over 500 figures. About 112 of those are 1/4 scale. I’m not even sure how that happened.

Is it just me or has someone been going on a prude spree marking a lot more stuff as NSFW on MFC? Seems like anything that is any kind of suggestion it’s lewd is now marked as NSFW. Funny 1 blanket that is a sister piece to another is marked NSFW+ but the sister is not and it’s just as lewd.

The censorship war has always existed but this last year especially it's become particularly bad. It's everything, everywhere, across all mediums all being censored to hell. As far as I can tell the core culprit are the payment processors and banks telling people what they can and can't do with their own money They're acting as a cartel in everyone's worst interests and basically nothing can stop them.

Businesses, creators, artists, etc all have no choice but to comply with their standards if they still want to do business. Many over this last year have either gone out of business or taken a severe financial hit for opting not to use the main payment processors anymore. Many over correct instead of skirting the line, especially since the "rules" are nebulous at best. We desperately need good payment alternatives.

In the meantime I don't see things getting better either, at least not for potentially another decade or so. It's painful to look back at how much better things were 10 years ago. 20 years ago feels almost censorship free by comparison even though there were problems then too.
