Default Rumor: A leak would confirm GT5 for December 4

http://www.play3-live.com/news-ps3-e...009-16586.html

A leak from a "credible source" obtained by the play3-live.com website would have given away all the PS3 Slim bundles in preparation for the end of the year in Europe (at the very least France).
To take with a healthy dose of salt... That seems to be a -lot- of bundles imo.

Quote:
■ Pack PS3 Slim + Need for speed Shift : 339€ - Release date : October 1st 2009 - 25.000 units

■ Pack PS3 Slim + 2 Blu-Rays : 339€ - Release date : October 2009

■ Pack PS3 Slim + Uncharted 2 : 339€ - Release date : Octobre 14th 2009 - 50.000 units

■ Pack PS3 Slim + PES 2010 : 339€ - Release date : October 24th 2009 - 50.000 units

■ Pack PS3 Slim + Tekken 6 : 339€ - Release date : November 4th 2009 - 25.000 units

■ Pack PS3 Slim + Assassin's Creed 2 : 339€ - Release date : November 19th2009 - 25.000 units

■ Pack PS3 Slim + Gran Turismo 5 : 339€ - Release date: December 4th 2009 - 75.000 units.

In France (and most of Europe I imagine), SCE considers that $1 = 1euro.

So ... $339 (again if true at all)

If this is true, then 2009 will become the Year Of The Sony. FINALLY we get GT5 on December (if that is true ).

Well, to elaborate on that... the current PS3 Slim is 299USD or 299EUR. So technically the people in Europe are getting ripped off. So yeah that bundle here in the US converted from EUR is like $500.

Who's year is it suppose to be at this point? No console maker or PC has the software line up that Sony has this year (or last year...based on review averages). It look like next year might be more of the same.

Anyway, I'm hoping GT5's date is true.

If FFXIII JPN and GT5 both come out this Holiday, this will be one hell of a PlayStation holiday shopping season. Hopefully, it goes through.

i know on the PSP fans subtitled Crisis Core and made it available for download but u could only get it with a modded psp -_-

after ps3 live and jeuxvideo.com we have Eurogamer :

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/ps...riced-detailed
Quote:
A trusted retail source has corroborated earlier reports and told Eurogamer that a 250GB PS3 Slim will arrive here as early as October, as part of three console-plus-game bundles.
Unlike Spain, the UK will combine either Assassin's Creed II, Gran Turismo 5 or Uncharted 2 with the 250GB PS3 Slim. And each bundle will cost £299.99.
Sony has not backed this up in writing, which is why our source wished to remain anonymous.
Although the bundle will arrive in October, perhaps only Uncharted II - released on 23rd October - will appear then. Assassin's Creed is due on 20th Novmember, and Sony has only officially narrowed the date for GT5 to Q4 2009.
The crescendo in retailer chatter suggests the platform holder may be poised to make an announcement soon. Yet, for now, its validity - and what Microsoft will counter with - remains to be seen.

i seem to remember seeing the OP list somewhere else and it being decided that the bundles were store ones and not Sony ones. How true that is i dont know but it makes more sense to me than all those bundles.

I would say that the only one listed that would shift units is GT5 since to appreciate Uncharted 2 you probably played Uncharted already.

Quarter 4 could mean Oct-Dec 2009 or Jan-Mar 2010, depending on if quarter 4 is calendar year or Fiscal Year, so that "official narrowing" may or may not put it pre-Christmas.
