So does Tom Cruise, but that doesn't mean he'd be ideal for Reed Richards.

I happen to quite like Pascal, but I get what my brother and others here are talking about.

Pascal is cool. Reed isnt really supposed to be a super leading man.
They got a big name which is good.

Krasinski has the more accurate build but this is not the same Reed from Multiverse of Madness.

616 in the comics or MCU? This is set in a different universe.

The two previous, non-MCU FF movies weren't exactly masterpieces but I've never hated them. Still, this new take should be a considerable improvement. Looking forward to it.

I remember disliking the 2005's Fantastic Four movie so much when it first came out. As the years went by, I'm realizing, is this any different from some of the mid-MCU movies? The main biggest flaws with that Fantastic Four was Jessica Alba being miscast and Doom. But everything else is fine.

There were a LOT of things wrong with the film. My favorite is Ben's wife WALKING to where he was on the bridge from who knows where they lived. Anyone who lives around here knows how far everything can be in the boroughs.

Yeah, there were other things wrong, but Alba and Doom seem to be the main reasons that ruined that version. In a different reality where they cast someone else as Sue and use a different villain that is not Doom, movie probably would have been forgivin a lot more.

There's a cute quaint-ness about those 2000s FF flicks, ditto Daredevil and the first Ghost Rider. I enjoy throwing em on from time to time, but they're ultimately pretty forgettable.

Jessica Alba, Chris Evans, and Doug Jones were the only good things about those films. Reed and Doctor Doom were horrible. The Thing was alright but too small.

No matter, I'm confident Disney will find a way to make it worse.

Chris Evans was such perfect casting as Johnny Storm. The fact that he'd later go on to play Steve Rogers, who has a wildly different personality to Johnny, and become more well known as Captain America than the Human Torch, shows how great an actor he is.

I think you're the only person on Earth that had no problem with Alba while not liking Gruffudd.

I think both movies were fun for the time.

As for Alba, I've always had a huge crush on her. But Gruffudd was an abomination better suited to playing Darren in a Bewitched remake. He's awful in a serious part. Alba's acting ability was unimportant to the part she played.

I forgot, they also did Galactus dirty. I don't like the changes Fox made to the characters and Disney, by recent films, promises to do a lot worse. We'll see when it hits Disney plus. You, probably sooner, but personally I won't pay to see a Disney movie until they get their act back together.

I've been waiting for a FF movie for ages so yeah I'll be there opening weekend. I'm cautiously optimistic, the only thing I've heard so far that I'm not happy about is the Surfette.
