The MGM print of the film is used so it is missing the opening Samuel Goldwyn logo and accompanying brief section of the score, but other than that it's unedited. A few people mention the end credits being different, but I'm pretty sure these are the original theatrical ones and it was the original VHS releases that had slightly different credits. the DVD and Blu are identical other than the PAL speed up on the DVD. The transfer is good, didn't notice any problems and its about on par with Sony's US release of the second film.

It also does have English subtitles, despite the packaging saying that only German subs are included.
It sounds like MGM's elements starting with the initial DVD release are based on the pre-release/Canadian version which lacks the Samuel Goldwyn logo and has different ending credits. Those old VHS's appear to use a US release print as its got cue markers and splice pops in parts of the audio.
