The point ultimately being made is, just because Discotek has the two Chie the Brat TV series does not automatically mean they'll be able to get the movie. The movie may have international rights handled by Toho, which has been an obstacle for Discotek the past few years.

As much as I would like this show to be licensed by a competent distributor, it is an Enoki Films title and MediaOCD staff had made it clear they (Discotek) would never work with that licensor again.

Also, a proper Kareshi Kanojo release would upscale the LaserDiscs. The DVDs are of a lesser quality.

Unfortunately CR is currently sitting on the licenses to Chrno Crusade, LAST EXILE, Gankutsuou, X tv, and Seto no Hanayome so it most probably won't be them.

I’ve made it clear that I want more Metal Heroes and Showa Rider. I’d also like Inazuman, Kikaider 01, Zubat, Akumaizer 3, Chojin Bibyun, Condorman, Barom-1, Kagestar, Ninja Captor, Aztekaiser, Battle Hawk, Machineman, Bicrosser, Changerion, Voicelugger, and really any Toku shows they can get.
As far as anime goes, I would really like Wingman, Ginga Nagareboshi Gin, Ghost Sweeper Mikami, the SD Kamen Rider OVA, Hurricane Polymar, Yattaman, Hakushon Daimao, Hikaruon, 70’s and 80’s magical girl shows, and anything that aired in the states in the 80’s and 90’s. Otherwise I really want a bunch of mecha. I want original Getter Robo, Getter Robo G, Getter Robo Go, Grendizer, Koutetsu Jeeg, Gakeen, Danguard Ace, Barattack, Blocker Gundan 4 Machine Blaster, Ginguiser, Daiapollon, Gowappa 5 Godam, Raideen, Zambot 3, Daitarn 3, Trider G7, Srungle, Vifam, Daioja, Gold Lightan, Dougram, Galvion, Dragonar, Dangaioh, Iczer-1, Le Deus, Mashin Hero Wataru, Jushin Liger, Granzort, and really just any old school mecha I can get my hands on.

As part of that discotek sale a while back, I ordered the Giant Robo OVA and the Fist of the North Star SDBD but both were backordered. Giant Robo got to me before Christmas, but Fist just got here yesterday. I popped it in on my Series X (I mainly use that as a glorified blu-ray player now since it's disc drive makes less noise than my PS5) and it looks good. I'm glad I can retire my complete series DVD that's gigantic. Also, I heard later pressings of this, which I assume I got, fix the issue the initial release had where it played back weird on PS4s (or was it just Sony players in general), so I hope that was true.

Now the only thing is, do I keep the DVD as a display piece and because it looks silly, or do I just sell it?

I know it’s been mentioned in the past that releasing Golden Boy on Blu-ray would be something of a logistical nightmare, but it is the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Ferrari’s in anime.

I haven't been keeping up with Discotek since Crunchyroll bought RightStuf. Can anyone point me to the best place for a Canadian to buy Discotek releases? Does Crunchyroll or any other site have regularly scheduled Discotek sales like RightStuf used to?
