This is one of those shows that always made me laugh as a kid and yet I knew very few people who appreciated it back then. This kind of programming just hadn't caught on yet and a lot of people seem to forget that Family Guy was actually cancelled early in its run due to low ratings.

I wish they reran the critic on adult swim when adult swim first premiered it and clerks the animated series so maybe they’d get a second chance and if the ratings and dvd sales were good enough they would get a new season.

Wow, I had no idea there was a mini-revival in 2000. The 'webisodes' are three minute or so shorts and mainly just showcase the movie parodies and Jay dating one of his younger interns. Not super funny but still fairly decent considering it was pretty much a two character internet miniseries with no real time for story arcs. Parodies were still pretty decent and it sounded like the original voice imitators, though I haven't seen the original show in ages. Unfortunate that several of the actors are no longer alive. Not sure how I'd feel about a reboot.

Actually it’s only four actors that died duke his boss jays son the make up lady and jays girlfriends daughter.

It was a Columbia Television production so the rights are with Sony.

Well in that case there is hope for a physical release.
