I wish someone at Warner would at least say something to clarify when we can at least expect Smallville in stock!! I hate not knowing stuff!

It's really annoying that the HD DVDs are getting out there bu the Blu-ray's arent!

You guys do realize that between distribution SNAFUS and retailer stock clerks not opening boxes, a lot of these new releases end up sitting on docks and in the back of stockrooms for a week or two. THAT ISN'T RELATED TO BLU-RAY OR ANY INDIVIDUAL STUDIO. If you haven't noticed the issue before with DVDs, CDs, books and anything else you might collect, you haven't been shopping too long. The world is an imperfect place, believe it or not.

Was I the only one who used to go to Tower Records and argue with a clerk for half an hour before they'd go back into the stock room and start opening boxes so I could buy the disc I'd been waiting for? Heck, a few times, they even invited me in the back by the loading dock to help look.

Now I just order online.

I'm not sure that we can be quick to blame the BestBuy employee. I've asked them to search their inventory and that of other stores in town for a particular Blu-ray and the computer had no means of selecting just blu-ray as an option like DVD or VHS. He was able to find the name of the title but unable to tell if it was blu-ray or DVD or HD DVD. The software hadn't caught up with the new format. The poor guy had to ask me if I had the SKU and he could search that way.

I don't know if it has changed for them but I'm willing to but the guy/gal in the trench a bit of slack.

Wow. Just use the Internet. Go to their site, select the movie and then select the locations. For instance, I can put in my zip and it will shop me what stores in my city have the movie.

Pretty easy.

I hit the new Best Buy near my home for Troy and Alexander this morning. They had a few copies of each.

Glad I went as I wanted to watch them tonight and tomorrow.

I have a good friend at BB and CC and they looked all over the stockrooms and dock for Blu-Rays. They would not lie about not having them. BB said thry do not know when We Are Marshall would be in on BD. They only received 20 copies of the title on DVD. CC received less copies than expected on DVD as well.

So true. I bet on release dates when new movies/games or whatever are not on store shelves they are in boxes in the backroom.

I pre-ordered Troy, Alexander and Smallville on Warner website on Sep 5. I called today and their representative said they are still trying to catch up with their orders. They couldn't even tell me when my blu-rays would ship.

I went to Fry's website and saw that Smallville is listed as pre-order. What's up with that?

I do plenty of online shopping and it usually takes longer to get and its much more fun to actually go to the store and pick up a copy the day it comes out. We are pissed there are none to pick up and if we did order online it didnt come in the mail today either Im guessing so f .coms too

thats why we are frustrated. Sorry dont mean to come off as a jerk
