There is a Blu-ray pre-order from Universal up in some places, but no 4K UHD listed yet. I hope there is an English-friendly 4K UHD, because along with a few English graphics, the film has significant dialogue in Italian, Latin and Spanish which was mostly subtitled in English, as well as the audio being in Dolby Atmos.

I hope so too. Leonine’s encoding is also terrible besides the guaranteed localization. Should there be no US 4K, I’ll definitely go with the Universal BD over the Leonine UHD.

Justin Dekker reviewed the US disc

Top notch stuff.

This might sneak a couple of Oscars.

One of those movies where I like it enough to buy it, but not maybe enough to pay extra 10 € for a 4K. Then again the cinematography, sets and costumes went so hard that getting just a 1080 Blu you would not get best parts of the film in the best quality.

I guess I'll wait until the price drops.

Yes, I've seen it and will want to see it again but no rush.

I would buy the Germany release for the artwork (UK = awful) but it'll not be English friendly I assume.

£15.00 is about right for the UK one.

It might, Leonine do include English subtitles from time to time. Still, I wouldn't gamble on their release, as Nic said they seem to always find a way to botch something somehow, so I'd play it safe with the UK edition.

Curious how good Black Bear's releases are, I believe this is only their second 4K after Longlegs.

I decided to go with the BD edition as much of the film takes place in dim indoor settings. I feel 1080p is good enough for this one. I caught most of it on a transatlantic flight and enjoyed it. These kinds of movies are rare nowadays.
