Dammit, neither Atomic nor Orbit will have these up for preorder until tomorrow most likely. I don't like buying from Arrow.

And not to temper expectations for ultra ultra ULTRA perfectionists like Spencer, where some crusty old VHS from Tajikistan is the best sounding version etc etc, but I'm not expecting perfektion from these. I'm sure that Arrow have done their due diligence but something somewhere isn't going to meet the standards of the ultras and as long as there aren't outright QC foul-ups then this is gonna be the best we'll get for a long, long time. I should think that other countries' labels will get their hands on these masters in due course and may well correct a few flubs, but will they have decent encodes, all the English audio options etc?

Does Arrow UK charge when you place the order or when it ships?

Yeah. Wondering whether to keep mine (avec slips) in terms of any extras not on the Arrows, or just sell them and take whatever they’ll go for now.

Maybe not. Arrow's website says these are Region B.

You can't please everyone, even if they are 110% perfect.

This has pretty much locked in that I'm never purchasing a MGM boutique release stateside from a distributor that's not Arrow.

Carrie, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, The Great Escape, Silence of the Lambs; we have confirmation FIM did the encode for Lifeforce; etc.

Might as well hold out and wait to see if Arrow does a release in the UK. Every time, Arrow just does it better.

Aren't the Kino extras mostly the existing MGM stuff anyway? And they've been encoded terribly on the Kinos (as usual) with stuttery jerky frame rates. Better off selling the Kinos for what you can and grab an old DVD of whatever movie if there's anything missing on the Arrows.

I'm talking on the rigid box like how they did the Arte Originale releases for the Argento films

I just put in my order on Arrow’s site. I can always cancel later since they don’t charge until it ships. I’m sure Atomic and Orbit will have these up eventually, but I’m covering all my bases. I’m taking ZERO chance missing out on these. Now to sell my Kino discs to help offset the cost.

Could be an option to watch the extended cut with or without the grotto scene

Well these are going to be expensive. Probably close to $150 to own all 3?

40 GBP shipping from Arrow to US. Yikes, but this is ordering two copies of each UHD. I only am ordering two because I receive a lot of Arrow titles with a weird large handle shaped crease on the back insert which shows up as a crease on the front when reversed to show the original artwork. It looks awful and I usually end up ordering a second copy when this happens. These will sell out quick is my guess, unless they do a large print run, so if I order one and the cover is messed up, I’d be SOL. This isn’t about scalping at all or greed, juat wanting a good copy.

Arrow doesn’t have a strict one copy per person limit, do they?
