There's a reason why most label releases of massively popular movies - or cult items with massively popular actors - have to resort to new interviews with ancillary figures and below-the-line talent, it's because the main players aren't interested.

Sam Jackson recorded an interview with AnimEigo for their Shogun Assassin DVD because he was such a fan of the movie. Seems like he would be willing to contribute, but maybe not. The market has changed.
