This is very interesting from an encoding perspective. Thank you for taking the time to check this!

Checking your posts in the other threads, this seems to be their standard, to encode the right eye lower. Hmm.

Shrek was pretty good I thought.

It's not flat, but the highly stylized choice of imagery on this movie actually works against 3D. It's more effective at the gala scene near the end, though.

It may not "actually" be flat be it looks close enough to being so. I had fun with this movie, but I would literally have to compare it side by side with the 2D version to be sure that it was 3D. But it's been a while since I watched it so I may have another look at some point.

No, it has some terrible 3D which makes it as close to flat as one can get. IMHO

I'll have to watch it again to see how the 3D is. Can't remember.

Good thing it's just your opinion. I thought it looked great on my 120" screen. Especially the chase scene when the car momentarily pushes through while catching air.

Well, first of all, they often use some flat shaders on the characters so they look almost 2D in some shots. Then, they often use those on the backgrounds as well, so the BG lacks stacked depth. And then, they often use very shallow depth of field in close-ups, which results in very blurred backgrounds (so the foreground has no real BG plane to work off). So yes, these are stylistic choices not inherently optimal for 3D representation.
The filmmakers maybe should have rendered an extra version (like with Disney's Tangled) with sharper backgrounds as opposed to 2D with a shallow DOF.

Nevertheless, the movie itself kicks major ass.

Very fun movie that i thought had somewhat mild but consistently pleasing depth. Really stylish animation, thrilled Turbine put this out bc i never would’ve seen it otherwise!

Does it say ‘Gangster Guys’ on the disk cover or ‘The Bad Guys’?

I wasn’t going to double dip for this but Atmos has sealed the deal.

Front side says "Die Gangster Gang" (German title), reversible cover says "The Bad Guys".
All Turbine 3D discs have reversible cover art with an alternative artwork and the original title (if the title happens to be the same in German and English, then it's just alternative artwork, like with Bumblebee )

I mean on the disk itself not the box cover art.

Before taking the jump to double dip, is there really a vast difference between Turbine and RSM?

Only with Sing 2. Otherwise the differences are minor.

Turbine's 3D discs also have Atmos audio (English and German), while most of RSM's 3D discs only have DTS-HD MA. So if you want the best possible audio quality, then Turbine's release is the one to get.
