Imagine being one of Cam's teammates in 2015 and hearing him say this.

What alot dont know is out of home viewing is now counted by nielsen in the official total so super bowls now have a big advantage when comparing to yrs ago cause it can add like 25 million viewers to the total.

Let's face it, people don't really believe the NFL owners, refs, teams and commissioner have all colluded to pick one team over another. You have Vegas, ad dollars and sponsorships that hang on the balance.

I should add, you'd also have to have complicit silence from ppl who have left the NFL, like owners, refs and one would assume (some) players. Also, would ALL reporters be in on the NFL being rigged? If not, so with all the reporters covering the sport, no one has found any evidence or heard anything about the games being rigged?

I'm sure my great grandkids will study how the pandemic impacted people's ability to reason.
Here proof its rigged

HATERS ARE GONNA HATE. But as Mitch Holthus said, "YOU CAN DOUBT THE CHIEFS, YOU CAN DISLIKE THE CHIEFS, YOU CAN DISRESPECT THE CHIEFS, BUT YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE CHIEFS!!!" Epic call.

What is the actual source on this? "My Facebook feed" is the equivalent of "one of my friends told me that his friend said that he heard..."

people wanting to think they are clever and know about some “conspiracy” for a team in the middle of the country who literally had no playoff success for almost 50 years…

how did so many people get brainworms? the nfl is already the most popular sport and gets the most viewers.

if it was rigged, what they just waited until tom brady retired? lol

In a couple of decades, we'll have a clear understanding of how the pandemic f'd with people's reasoning and thought process.

I stopped posting in the AVS NFL thread when the conspiracy crap started to infect the normal discussions. I've never put anyone in my ignore list, but finally broke down and added 3 to my AVS list.

When you google the following: "texans president cal mcnair + referee suspended"

Why do you think ONLY Facebook, Insta, Tiktok and Threads are the only sites that come up with your story?

No ESPN, Sporting News, NFL.com, Athletic, Barstool News or national website reporting on sports has the story? Don't you think the Houston Chronicle would have something on their site?

https://www.houstonchronicle.com/sports/texans/

Here's Adam Schefter's twitter page: https://x.com/AdamSchefter?utm_source=fbia
Here's Jonathan Alexander (Houston) twitter page: https://x.com/jonmalexander

I love that you cut and pasted: "Latest News" as part of the facebook post.

Reid is a great coach, Mahomes is a generational talent who, like Brady, can make a mediocre WR corps look stellar, elevate his team.
their defense has really stepped up this season, they have a great defensive coordinator (saying this as a Niners fan)
those ball spots in the BUF game look bad BUT .. you still have to play the games, bad/questionable officiating is part of the game. While I don't believe in grand conspiracy theories I do think big corporations will take advantage of situations when they can - that is to say I don't think the league is fixing games for the Chiefs due to the Taylor factor but if the Chiefs are in these big games they are sure as hell going to show you Taylor fifty times a game to tap into that demo. But I think this is overblown at this point. What has it been like 2-3 years now? I think her fans are either on the NFL bandwagon or not. Between her two albums, tour, relationship - the general public, non-fans were/are kinda over it all already. There is such a thing as overexposure.

In any case as a Niners fan I am now, reluctantly, swayed towards rooting for the Chiefs. Philly fans will crank up the obnoxious factor to say they slayed the giant no one else could.

Latest News: "Chiefs Accused Of Rigging Games By Playing Better Than The Other Teams"

Okay, I'm done bagging on my fellow Iowan. Sorry, had to get that out of my system.

I don't think that the game is rigged (or at least rigged to get certain teams into the playoffs or Superbowl). There would be too much one would have to do for that to happen. However, the Cheifs are so good that you have to play perfect football with no bad calls made against you due to bad officiating.

I could see some of the bad calls that could affect in game betting and such. I can recall a few times this year when watch my Brownies play where the officials throw a flag after the play or just before the other team was getting ready to snap the ball to call a hold, late hit or something that should have been thrown by the on field officials but didn't till someone in New York or the booth officials said something. So, some of those obvious bad calls like the two calls against Houston a few weeks or the 'facemask' in the Lions game that wasn't a facemask could have easily been overturn without the need of challenge flag (if applicable) if they just had the officials in the booth/New York more involved. The officials competency is another issue.

The Chiefs are just so good that any bad calls they went against them just didn't phase them like it does just about any other team. They just don't let the officials decide the game or their destiny.

I don't know if I would go as far to say any of the games are rigged. But it's obvious that the Chiefs are very favorable with the calls, opposed to other teams. Bad refs should NOT be a part of the game. It should be consistent, for one, and with all teams. It's also annoying seeing frogface Mahomes constantly flop for calls as well. I just cant place him on a pedestal like everyone else does.

The Chiefs are in a perfect storm for this 3 peat. Nobody wants to hire Spags...Mahomes gives the Chiefs a discount like how Brady did...Andy Reid is at the peak of he creativeness...Mahomes is just walking into his prime...Travis is on his back nine of his career....Jones is also at his prime...The Chiefs GM Brett Veach is pulling off moves (like in April with the Bills for WR Worthy) that are upgrading the Chiefs...and everyone is playing checkers. The bad calls have always happen...but now that are just magnified for this historic run. And spill on with all the fatigue, and you have an unprecedented attempt of a 3 peat. Mahomes is just that great...he is surrounded by HOF'ers. Everybody else is just a deer in head lights. The Chiefs are inevitable! no homer

Guys, I want the Chiefs to lose as much as anyone here and I am a bit suspicious about the officiating as well at times. But come on man, at this point it's just beating a dead horse. Is it really necessary for this to be the only/main topic until next Sunday? Can't it wait at least until after the game is over if there are any controversial calls made?

I'm with you there regarding ignore lists. In over twenty years of being on various forums I only felt the need to put a few on my ignore list. None were here until I recently had to do it to a member.

Thankfully politics are not tolerated here because what really drives me bonkers are the comment section of Yahoo (and other sites) articles, as virtually every topic is turned into a nasty political back and forth! And don't get me started on the racism...
