Freddy vs. Jason Blu-ray

I was making a joke when i asked if Kane had ever commented on not getting the FvJ gig.... I understand he liked playing the role and it's his claim to fame, but to be honnest I never thought he was the best Jason. Personally I would vote CJ Graham who played the character in part 6 as the Jason I like the best. To me Hodder's only appeal is that he played the character more then anyone else providing some character continuity. However, Part7 is the only one I would consider to be good, Manhatten and jason X can be fun guilty pleasures and Jason goes to Hell is just down right the worst Jason movie ever made

Yeah it would have been nice to see him return for FvJ, but I understand the reasonings for going with the taller Ken Kirzinger (although Kane has some conspiracy that it wasn't hieght but it had to do with the movie shooting in canada and Kirzinger being a canadian citizen ). But overall I like FvJ's slower moving Jason and going up against Freddy, even an extra 2 inches in height really made jason tower on screen, which is what producers wanted.

I enjoy Hodder's performances but I don't think he was either the best or that he deserved the FvJ role simply because he had played the character for so long. Ronny Yu had his vision of the character and the film was somewhat of a jump start for both series, so a new look was to be expected

And yes Hatchet is a pretty cool movie

Kane is def. the best Jason, or at least the scariest. The Jason in FvJ looked like a towering oaf. Hated the outfit too. Where did he get the sword?

The Jason in part 4 was pretty kick ass too.

Holy sweet merceful crap yes...whats the hold up with getting more Jason on Blu, the DVD's are out, but all we have is up to part 3 on Blu... well and the new one but thats a different studio and not an overly great movie, lol

I do hope FvJ sells well because i'd love to see newline/WB put out special edition of JgtH and Jason X. Goes to hell i would probabaly only buy for completists sake (and once it was on sale or offered some amazing extras) but i'd like to own Jason X on blu as its at least a fun movie most of the time and it's has that scene where

Since 1, 2, and 3 came out this year, I'm sure the rest would follow up late this year or next year?

I wanna see the wannabe Michael Jackson get killed in the toilet. I think that was part 4 or 5. That was freakin funny as hell...

I would hope so, but they dragged the original DVD releases out over four years, which was an intolerably long time for fans...

With Paramount showing in the past how they love to time releases to coincide with a similar release i'm surprised they didn't use FvJ bluray release to put out another 2 F13th films

I know FvJ is a different studio but it's all one franchise and studios do that all the time when it comes to catelog titles (they even did it a few months back when the F13th remake came to bluray from WB)

It looks now though that we won't see anymore untill 2010...apparantley they have decided to take a page out of MGM and 007's book

Yea its hard to say who was the best Jason as u like u said Kane was the only one to play him multiple times! But I like the guy in part 2! Thats why I like the remake as well, because Jason was more aggressive in his pursuits! Dude in part 2 would run after u but then after that he got that smooth power walk! Haha!! But I do agree if I had to choose the best Jason in a single movie I would say Part 6 as well!! he came back from the grave like a beast!! Got Em!!

I thought Kane was indeed the best Jason but his movies were just simply the worst. But i thought the one in 6 and the one in Freddy vs. Jason were really great too.
My favorite of the Jason films is either between 2 and 6. But one thing i can say about 6 that I can't really say about 2, is I could re-watch 6 over and over and always be entertained.

I already pre-order FVJ but then I cancelled since nobody knows if that release is gonna be region free.. So I guess I'll have to wait another couple of days before I know that. But recently all New Line Releases have been Region Code Free.. but still ..

Saw this one in the theater, bought the DVD but never even took the shrink wrap off. Though, if it hits around $10 in a store soon, I'd be awfully tempted to buy it

Someone is selling it on ebay and is saying that it is Region A!!! I hope its not! but he is usually pretty reliable with his discs and their regions.

It comes out on the 28th Sept in the UK, but I hate the horrible Entertainment in Video artwork and the chunky boxes they use.

I actually work for Kane and there is a lot to the story of FvJ. Most of the bitterness came about as a result of using his name being attached (which it was for quite a while) to the project to raise funding. That's also the main reason he's hesitant to sign LOI's anymore. The Kirzinger issue goes deeper than FvJ, but it's not my place to drudge that up.
He'd love to play Jason again, but he knows that window is closed. He's looking forward to doing more things out of make-up like BTK.

On topic though, I'm looking forward to picking this title up. I thought the Platinum Series SD New Line put out was really well done. I can't wait to hear the sound mix on Blu.
