What are some movies with a great concept but poor execution?

I feel like the horror element is pretty baked into the film as well, not just the fascination with the sun but theres a spookey vibe to the whole thing.

Yeah, I remember that one. It seemed like it was going to be a heady sci-fi film and then we got another Event Horizon type thing which totally killed the movie for me. I did like Event Horizon though.

I didn’t think so. It totally threw me off and I was like "wait, what?"

I was definitely expecting something along those lines to happen, I thought it was a bit moreso that the film did a bit of misdirecting seemingly setting up Surle to go crazy.

Yeah. I feel like the horror kind of starts ringing in early and permeates throughout until it crescendos to the end. Man, I love that cast.

Oh God don't get me started, that's most movies

The Final Girls. Superb premise, group of modern teens sucked into an 80s Slasher. Except in the execution, it's nothing like an 80s Slasher at all...
