Coppola wanted to emulate the look of early film, using "old school" compositions and effects techniques combined with what was then state of the art.

Again "HDD" is faulting something for looking exactly as it should.

Bracke would fault a restored Mona Lisa for being too "brownish & faded".

I wouldn't worry too much after one review, especially from Bracke who has made several questionable calls in the past.
