Makes sense with the top and bottom USB-C ports.

I'd love for Mario Galaxy 2 to make an appearance, considering this year is the game's 15th anniversary.

“For example, the user can use the game system so that the upper and lower sides of the main body device are opposite to each other, such that the voice input/output connector on the upper surface of the main body device is located below the main body device. That is, the user can insert the earphone into the voice input/output connector from the preferred direction.”

It should also be noted that while the USB port on the bottom of the Switch 2 is in the centre of the system, the one at the top is off to the side.

In theory then, Nintendo or third-party manufacturers could create USB peripherals for Switch 2 (such as a camera), which could sit on the middle of the console if the user plays with the system rotated and the middle USB port on the top.

Not unless they're Switch 1 games or will be coming to both consoles. I expect the next 3D Mario won't be shown until the Switch 2 Direct in April.

Other than that game, I think the next Mario game is Mario Maker 3. Nintendo typically puts out a Mario Maker each gen, and considering we got a 2D mainline Mario game recently, Maker 3 seems most likely. Maybe they'll throw in some buildable 3D levels this time.

Just thought this was cool for those of us 40+ year old gamers. This guy was able to knock out Mike Tyson on Mike Tyson Punch-Out in <2 minutes, a world record. Apparently, he'd made over 75,000 attempts at this over the course of nearly half a decade. An almost godlike gaming performance.

For anyone whose ever played this game, I don't need to tell you how crushingly difficult it is to simply beat Mike Tyson. Tyson as the final boss was intentionally made absurdly hard and it takes an almost encyclopedic knowledge of EVERY one of Tyson's in game patterns to even stand a chance of beating him, let alone doing it in a time of under 2 minutes. He's very frequently ranked among the top-10 most difficult video game bosses of all-time, for good reason. I played a ton of this game during some of my peak gaming years as a teen and it took me at LEAST 3+ years to finally beat Tyson.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 port is definitely long overdue.

I'd also be happy with a port of Super Mario 3D Land.

God, I would LOVE for Nintendo to bring back Punch Out for the Switch 2. Mike Tyson's Punch Out was one of my favorite NES games. I played it constantly!

The size difference made the old joy con's not compatible. But also the old rail system was never that secure. The Joy con's always felt a little loose. The new system looks a lot better. Plus the slightly larger Joy con size is a welcome addition as well.

There are so many Nintendo franchises that are pretty much just rotting away right now... F-Zero, Mother, Wario Land, Golden Sun, WaveRace, Starfy, etc. Any of these getting a new game would probably break the Internet. Hell, we haven't had a new Mario baseball title since 2008!

Watched this live. SS is amazing. Just an insane amount of luck (rng) and frame perfect inputs. He's been at this for years. Hopefully he gives his mind a good break.

Star Fox is another one. I am dying for a new Star Fox game! So much so I bought that very mid Ubisoft game Starlink just for the Star Fox content!

That one too, but the ones in question haven't had a new game in 15 years or more.

Much as I love the series, I really do get why Nintendo is reluctant to bring it back. Virtually every opponent in Punch-Out games are heavily based on cultural stereotypes that you could get away with decades ago, but create a lot of awkwardness nowadays.

The rumors seem to be heavily hinting towards a new Star Fox actually happening. Glad to hear it as I was unsure we'd be getting another game in that franchise after the Star Fox Zero/Guard debacle. The last really great Star Fox game for me was Star Fox 64... nearly 3 decades ago. Adventures was OK. Assault and Zero were pure trash.

Some of them were, sure. But not all of them. Just leave out the ones that were, keep the ones that weren't, and create new characters.

Yeah I don't see why you can't make goofy/expressive characters without making them stereotypes.

Aside from that, the sales weren't all that great on the last Punch-Out game. I love the Punch-Out series, but really didn't care for Arms. And yet, Arms sold about double on the Switch what Punch-Out sold on the Wii. Unfortunately, I'd expect Nintendo to make another Arms game before Punch-Out if they ever make another boxing game.
