Hopefully we'll get Next Friday & Friday After Next soon as well. I think all 3 of them are hilarious.

That scene in Next Friday with John Witherspoon's character in the dog van racing to rescue Craig after he had just left that taco stand. Hilarious.

I agree the movie is good but it is not that good for me (personally) to upgrade to blu ray. I haven't watched my DVD copy in years, no need to double dip here.

Yeah picture qulaity is cleaner but not a huge improvement, but it is an extended version that wasn't on DVD

havent seen Friday yet, but just got done watching Menace II Society. Big improvement over the DVD, but I feel the image looked a bit soft. Not a whole lot of detail in faces. Overall though, definitely a nice upgrade from SD-DVD. As far as audio, I was expecting the shootout at the end to blow me away, but it actually sounded subdued and sliiightly muffled. Everything else, I have no complaints.

The TCM remake was pushed back a few weeks to September 29th.

I got this, Set It Off, and Menace II Society for $38 total when WB had that crazy sale a few months ago. Should be shipping next week. W00t! O-Dog smoking weed and murdering innocent Koreans in HD FTW

hopefully this director's cut will have the flashback scenes in color, i remember seeing the trailer a long time ago and the scene where deebo punches Red after he asks for his bike back and the scene was in color, unlike the black & white like the movie.

The flashback scenes are in black and white. There is a lot of extra dialogue added at the beginning though that wasn't in the theatrical version.
