Samsung has an ongoing lawsuit due to their reluctance to support those players. I own a Samsung 1400, and it will not play some of the newer Sony movies. I have contacted Samsung Support, and that is the biggest waste of time anyone can possibly imagine. In addition, I am aware of dozens of people with the same issue who have been shunned by Samsung (check out the Samsung 1400 review thread: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...=samsung+1400). My brother owns a Sony 300S which was bought the same week, I purchased the Samsung...he can watch all of the BD movies in it. The new Samsung BD models are fine for now, but who knows about six months in the future. Why take the chance?
