Armor Wars was also shelved and will likely never ever move forward, without some retooling to incorporate Ironheart, if that production is well-received. As planned, it simply doesn't fit at all into the current MCU soup that Feige has been cooking, with the latest productions. There also won't be any payoff for the Sharon Carter/Power Broker setup in the Falcon series or pretty much anything else that we were looking forward to seeing.

How do you know there won't be a payoff at some point?

I mean, the latest movie just tied together a few things from the 2nd MCU movie, released in 2008.

Not saying all of this is going to take 16 years to be "solved" or to have some "payoff", but it's clear that Marvel Studios has a long memory.
