Default Help with Projector

Hello, I am fairly new to projectors, and need some help. I basically have two in mind Panasonic PT-AE3000U and the Sony VPL-HW10. Leaning a bit more towards the Sony.
Im trying to set up a 100" Screen, and my place has some light but not terrible.

Any help is appreciated, any recommendations of other projectors in the price range is welcome.

Here is the link to my space so you get a better idea.

I think both projectors will be comparable, and you'll just want a higher gain screen to help with your light issues. Looks like a great space for a projector (bye bye ceiling fan )

Very nice setup. I don't know too much about the Sony but the Panasonic is always getting great reviews from people on this website. It's always a tough decision when choosing a large ticket item. Projectors are especially tough because I do not know of any stores that display them.

I guess just keep asking questions and do as much research on line as possible. I found www.projectorreviews.com to be very helpful when I bought my Epson.

Post new pics when your done.

I am biased toward Sony since I had good experience with few Sony projectors (but not HW10). Panasonic may be as good as Sony - I do not have any experience with pana projectors.

That is a good size room and looks excellent apart from the light coloured walls.

I was wondering how you like your 60's for surround?I was thinking about getting those or the 50's for my new surrounds, plus you don't need stands for them, which is a plus.Thanks.

I like them for the same reason you stated, no stand. They sound great!!!, but if I had a dedicated HT room I would go with bi-pols.

So, Ive been looking at screens and I want to get the most bang for the buck. I have looked at this one http://www.htdepot.com/Focupix_Wides...69lt-100mw.htm

But I haven't heard anything from this brand. Does anyone here know anything about it.

Got the projector, decided to go with The sony VPL-HW15. I almost pulled the trigger on the panasonic ae3000u, But ultimately thought the sony was a better fit for me and my needs. Will get it in a couple of days!!!!!
