I must say, I'm slightly disappointed that no one from our Spanish community thought to create a thread for this film.

There was even a handsome-looking limited edition oversize digibook that sold out in several days on release in February. I found out the film existed by visiting another forum.

Pablo Berger's Blancanieves (Snow White) (2012) is a black and white, silent, period-piece rendition of the classic tale, which won ten Goya awards (including Best Film) and was Spain's official selection for the 85th Academy Awards.

Other sites have indicated that Cameo's Spanish BD has English subtitles for the Spanish intertitles. There is also information that the Limited Edition, which is an oversize horizontal digibook with a BD, DVD and Soundtrack CD, will have another run of 2,000 copies in late March, since the initial 3,000 copies are largely sold out, and I am trying to confirm this.

Region B locked most likely... but I´ll try to confirm it tomorrow as I own the limited digi-book edition.

I've ordered Blancanieves blu-ray from amazon.es

Today my copy arrived.

On the back cover the disc is described as being a region A/B/C disc. (region-free)

However on the disc itself only the region "B" symbol is shown.

So I guess the region-status of this disc is a bit confusing.

I have just received this movie on BR from Spain (standard edition) and it plays fine on my Region A player. It is definitely Region Free disc and will work in the US.

Quite pricey as an amazon.es import. Is there any other sites to import from that have lower shipping fees??

Why not get the US release? It's received a pretty solid review:

I see. It comes to about $31 shipped for me, which isn't bad for a LE like that. It's only a few bucks more than the US release even.

. Stumbled upon this title while sifting through the forum section for The Artist on IMDB. $30+ blind buy is a gamble but hey, at least if the gamble fails I still get the deluxe spanish edition for the same price as the standard US edition.

I imagine there's no extra fees when it gets to my door as the AmazonGlobal standard ship option on Amazon.es translated to:
Standard AmazonGlobal ( 5-10 days. Includes paperwork and customs charges ).

The stateside Cohen Media release for this one is OOP and expensive. I ordered this set, which was way cheaper, and it is great.
