I wonder if it's something in their mail order contract with studios that it has to super slow shipping?

People that could walk to their warehouse say that shipments take 4-5 business days most of the time and any mail I ever send to Toronto or receive from there is 1 day or in some rare cases 2 days.

So my example today (with one caveat that it is technically not chcanada.com but rather Columbiahouse.ca - I have bought a good number from both and for the shipping it seems to be the same types of delays). Last week I checked and it said 2 of my Blu-rays had shipped on Tuesday August 25th. I just got them out of the mail and it clearly says on the top right corner that the Canada Post stamp on them is Sept. 2. So it took 2 days in the mail from Toronto to here which is perfectly normal. So if they "shipped" on Aug. 25 and Canada Post got them on Sept. 2 where were they for the 1 week in between?

I vaguely remember the update happening on a Tuesday the last time a holiday fell on a Monday. I, of course, could be remembering incorrectly though.

I haven't received either, yet. I'm expecting mine (probably) Friday.

Well that sucks I haven't even got a shipping email. Granted I know you ordered before me and they must be backlogged with orders but still.... That stack of movies on my table that I haven't watched yet is getting smaller... I need to top it off.

I imagine the movies have still been sent. I cleared my last unwatched movie last night, but I have three on the way.

This should be a good month with a few releases I have been looking forward to.

I am surprised I didn't get a shipping email notice while others did.... Is that normal for CH? I know I haven't got any notices from the regular club, but wasn't sure if this one was different.

Sure hope they do this free shipping thing again.

It's hit or miss whether I get a shipping notice. I did this time.

I think free shipping will happen again after CH Canada had it's biggest sales of the year last Tuesday

Ya but then the rest of the sales for the month will suck if everybody waits for free shipping day! lol Might not balance the books after all...

Too true, but I betcha people order more than they normally would because its free shipping, even though after 3 items its a moot point anyway (3-disc sets excluded).

i dont think everybody is as patient as you may think. most ppl cant wait and will pay the extra $2 to have the blu NOW.
