This article lists what Rtings.com believes to be the three best budget 4K TVs this year, all of which offer Dolby Vision:

The 3 Best Budget TVs - Spring 2025

https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/best/budget

The best of the three according to the article is the Hisense U7N. Best Buy offers the 55" model for just $499.99, the 65" model for $679.99, the 75" model for $999.99, and the 85" model for $1299.99.

Review of the Hisense U7N:

https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/hisense/u7n-u7-u75n

The Hisense U6N is even more affordable with the 55" model starting at just $349.99 at Best Buy.

Anyone else feel uncomfortable sitting on a plane facing the back of the plane? Same could be said for other forms of transport, like a bus or train. I just can't comfortably do it. I feel it messes with my equilibrium.

Huh? I've never seen a seat on any commercial plane that faces the back. Were you on a cargo plane or something?

It was a commercial flight. It's been a while since I flew on that particular flight. But, they do exist. Or at least they did, as far as I know.

I am more prone to motion sickness when sitting backwards, and I am generally prone to motion sickness already, so sitting backwards is sure way to make me spill my guts.

But somewhere, I read several comments suggesting that it was actually Hugh Grant and now I just read an article where Jake Gyllenhall's name got tossed in the ring. I don't know what to believe!

It's not quite been ten years since my mom passed and I still miss her. Been dreaming about how much she hates me and blames me for how her life turned out. Imagine waking up from that and having to get ready for work. I tell you my dreams may be the death of me.

That's ludicrous. 4K TV's are at insane low prices. My 100" 4K TV only cost me $1,799.00 with tax and installation. 5 years ago you couldn't get a 90" 4K TV for under $5,000.

For the bicyclists among us--why do "mountain" bikes have so many gears now? Seems like when I was young a characteristic of a mountain bike was less than ten gears (ususally 6 or 8 IIRC), but it seems like when I look at them now they are 15-26. Seems more complicated than useful, but maybe I'm completely wrong.

Regarding vertigo, motion sickness etc., if the camera shot in a television series (mainly with modern series) starts going in circles or a curved shape I cover my eyes or look away until that camera shot has finished. You see more on shows today camera shots made using drone cameras, but those don't seem as bad. I can remember back when shaky camerawork in US television shows was the new thing (that took some getting used to, but it can still cause giddiness etc.).

On a separate note, am not looking forward to the clocks going forward an hour this Sunday. But it will stay brighter later in the day though.

I've been wondering why the Dell UltraSharp 40 productivity monitor that I have had for six weeks often blacks out briefly when going in and out of fullscreen programs like image viewers and when going through images. It was AMD FreeSync. The variable refresh rate available in the Windows Display settings keeps screen tearing out of my games without causing me these fullscreen annoyances. I'm so relieved that I finally figured it out.
