I was just perusing a couple of titles on Barnes & Noble's Paramount 50% off sale and was wondering if their noted list prices are correct. For example, most sites denote the "48 HRS" list price as 17.99, but B&N say it's 19.99. Likewise, most sites state that "Last Train from Gun Hill" is 19.99, but B&N says it's 22.99. ?!? Are these correct, or are the numbers slightly jimmied to cut into that 50%? These are the only two titles I looked at.

When I bought from that sale in the fall (I think it was 3 for $20 but I may have that wrong) even with shipping charges for six disks they came to something like $11 each. For films that didn't exist on BD in the US so this was the only way to get them.

Divide the cost of shipping over the number of disks and see if the total price is still pretty good. You might be surprised.

I recently did the math on 4 for 20 to the U.S., and it came out to $35.36 shipped--under $9 per disc. Pretty darn good, no matter how you slice it!
