What is Diamond's motivation for that if Alliance won the bid? Is there something dodgy going on behind the scenes that they benefit from if Universal buys them?

In uK news, I'm still none the wiser as to what's going on here, but last month's Vampires Carmilla never arrived, and I'm expecting we won't get Shudder this month either. Comic shop doesn't know what's happening, other than being told they might be getting it at a later date. :/

The word is that Alliance may not want anything to do with comics. Which then questions why they would want to buy Diamond, and what they overspent for it. I have not seen anything on Diamond UK which is a bit strange.

So there are two current scenarios with Diamond UK.

1. Diamond UK stays with Diamond.
2. Diamond UK goes back to Titan.

Whatever happens, I wish they would get it sorted asap. We're missing things, and it's unlikely that the missing comics from Warrant will start appearing again until this mess is resolved.

As part of the bankruptcy fillings Diamond had to release their retail contact list. Still kind of amazing that there were once 10,000+ comic shops in North America.

Wow...To put that in context, even though they're on the wane, I think most folks would still consider Best Buy a major retailer. As of 2025, there are just over 1200 Best Buy locations throughout North America. There are 4600 Walmarts.

Yes and the sad part is how easy it was to wipe out in less than 2 decades.

Not sure if you saw or heard me talking about this.

Weren't most of them lost when the Marvel-caused crash at the end of the nineties hit? It happened here in the UK as well, lots of comic shops went under when Marvel's then new owners ruined everything. I miss the glory days of the comic industry in the 90's, it was a second golden era to me. From Vertigo and MarvelUK, to the indie and small press stuff like Bone and Deadworld, it was a great time to be reading comics.

Yes the crash eliminated a good chunk of them.

Pretty sure that the new Previews should have been online Monday. Contacted my rep and have not heard anything. Rapid change is never good.

One of the things I talked about before, was the new owners regaining trust with Publishers and Retail. They are doing the opposite.

Was anyone collecting the Diamond Previews Catalog. Has your process changed now that it is digital only?
