The D23 trailer show him as being that way. I think this is just about him being a womanizer.

Johnny being a womanizer is part of his immaturity - he initially thinks he's God's gift to every woman until learning otherwise later on. I never saw Trank's film, but Chris Evans perfectly captured that quality in the 2005 film.

I mean, you can't throw a rock and hit something that doesn't offend someone and trigger them to the point they want to create yet another "victim hashtag."

No they don't, they just choose to, or are likely being paid to. Plenty of people have been offended by movies all of my life. They got over it.

All this preemptive explaining does not give me any confidence that this will be any good. The Fantastic Four was my favorite comic as a kid.

I will see it in the theater however and hope.

I don't see how anyone sees this trailer and is devoid of confidence, but we like what we like, the proof is in the pudding come release day.

The trailer looks fine but Disney has a track record. It's likely just going to be another girl boss movie.
