Everyday I’m perusing German forums for news of this but it appears Capelight have not mentioned anything in regards to this since announcing it last Nov, no mention on their website or pre-order, nothing.

Hope it hasn’t been quietly cancelled.

I sure hope not . I can't wait for a pre-order . I'll get the German as well as maybe Warner Archive does a 4K or they send it to Shout or Kino .

Which German forums do you browse? I saw this announcement on their Facebook profile, so I check it every day to see if there's any news about this movie.

Mainly Movieside, seems to be the best actual purely discussion based forum one. A few others I won’t mention here due to their file hosting nature.

Argh, I hate when these labels announce a movie early, and then crickets when it comes time to release it. Capelight said April 2025 for Over the Top 4K, and nothing. No news. Awesome.

I've been checking for updates on this release regularly. I think Capelight have a habit of announcing stuff and then leaving everybody in limbo. Someone previously mentioned that the BBFC re-classified Over the Top on 13/12/2024 for distributor "Altitude Film Distribution" who are associated with Capelight. So it does seem to be happening still, but the April release date seems less and less likely.

I’ll also take the MB. I think the Steelbook looks bad with the debossing, especially as they decided to do that right through Stallone’s credit as if striking it out.

There's a good chance this film will make its way to 4K, likely via Arrow but it won't be anywhere near as cool as these Capelight editions. I want the Mediabook. Do we have to order direct from Capelight or will Orbit/Atomic have this?

Unfortunately not unless. Capelight have UK rights through Altitude and will surely release both the Mediabook and Steelbook there as well.

You're saying Capelight may release Over the Top in the US? I don't think their US presence has gone too well - there's a film they were supposed to release, the title of which I'm blanking on, and I don't think it ever materialized.

They’re active in the US and have released quite a few titles by now. See here for a list: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/movies.php?studioid=607. For a German label this is pretty impressive.

If you mean Flesh + Blood, it was released, it was just delayed
