I would imagine the 4K compilation would be a testing grounds of sorts to see if restoring and releasing the entire series in 4K is worth the venture (and let's be honest; it should be).

And while I'm not a fan, it's going to be so cool that the new Space: 1999 movie set is going to include a NEW compilation film!

Listening again to the livestream it does sound like special releases for the 50th/60th. I suppose it could still be used as a testing of the waters. The price point for them will be interesting. £25- £30 seems quite a big ask for 50 minutes of breakaway. As it’s been described as a range I’m guessing if they do get the ok and the licence the 2 thunderbirds 60s movies are obvious future releases
