This show became a chore to watch. The first couple seasons I laughed out loud a few times per ep. Then nothing, maybe a chuckle here and there but for the most part nothing. Not even sure why I kept watching.

But I did like pretty much the entire finale. Liked how Dan explained his love for Roseanne to Louise and how she fit in his life. The graveyard scene worked well and was heartfelt. Dan should have known the amount before he opened the check, but whatever. Seemed fitting that's all they'd get. Did appreciate how he stood up to them in court. Saying goodbye to the camera was real emotion too. I laughed out loud a few times this ep which I totally wasn't expecting, well done show. Ended on a high note.

The check amount was one thing that I had to "huh" over. His attorney would have told him the amount to see if he wanted to accept it or, drag it out....

it wasn't a settlement - it was just a goodwill gift from them, since they weren't going to settle with him. He could still have sued but he likely would have lost. They were only in depositions discovery stage.
