Xbox Games to Release on PlayStation?

I'm not into FPS games, so I'd pass on Halo games.
Gears of War series could be of interest.
MS Flight Simulator on PS5 would be welcome.
I hope if it ever gets completed, the new Blade game is on PS5 too.
Starfield, I already have it on PC and would pass for PS5. It's okay at best.

Glad Oblivion remastered is on PS5. I'll get that when it's on sale soon.
Forza Horizon 5, I'll get it when it's on sale for the single player offline gameplay.

Unless MS is paying tons extra to these game developers to stay 1st party only, that's a lot of money from PS customers to be earned for older content.

It suggests MS is phasing out future console prospects because they're saying there would be no exclusives. Once Halo is on PS, that's it. Xbox would be like a 3rd party developer. MS could still produce a digital only XBox console just for game pass rather than go through Steam who takes their cut first.

And I do want to mention the Switch 2, which I'm not interested in, has games for 79.99 from Nintendo, Mario Cart World, that might not even have the game on the cartridge. What a rip off IMO either way. 80 dollars base price for a game begs gamers to wait for a sale price.

But Xbox users will still be able to play on Game Pass on day 1. Here’s the thing, yes, they want to sell those older games. But they also want to keep their current Xbox user base, because that’s still where the majority of their Game Pass subscribers come from. If they start dropping EVERYTHING right away on PlayStation, they know a lot of their current subscribers will start selling their Xboxes. So this is a balancing act.

There is a full single player experience, online is optional. I'm sure an internet connection is required for initial setup since you have to link your Microsoft Account to play...but after that, there is a full single player game! I think I was about 40 hours in on Xbox before I even played online, and there were still challenges I had not completed in the offline game.

Gears of War and Forza Motorsport are the main IPs from their 1st party side i'm interested in to come to PlayStation. Halo if it gets a remake woulf interest me too but i think they'll try a port of the Master Chief Collection. Since it doesn't come on the disc, i'd expect that crap to happen for a PlayStation release too so wouldn't buy until its bargain bin cheap.

Sadly with all this unfortunately Game Pass still will not be coming to PS5. MS intends to keep it XBox exclusive. Not sure why they wont just bring it to PS5 as it would essentially be the defacto service for everyone and is far superior to PSN Plus.

Because since PlayStation and Nintendo gamers actually buy games, MS is counting on those sales to help supplement their "EBT" program on Xbox/PC.

You can quote me on this if it comes to pass, but i do genuinely think MS is going to sell an adapted Game Pass for PlayStation with MS exclusive titles for a slightly lower price eventually once they port more titles over or find a way to do a streaming service like PS Now stye for MS titles.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella took part in an earnings call following the report, revealing a whole bunch of milestones that Xbox achieved during the quarter - including a claim that Xbox was the top publisher on PlayStation for pre-orders and pre-installs during that time period.

Not surprising considering SONY's own lack of close to the vest IP during this time.

So I’m nervous about pulling the trigger on Forza Horizon 5 (for PS5) because it’s seems more like, I dunno, just driving around and less like a game with progression and stuff.

I liked but didn’t love Indiana Jones. Found myself bored

So is Hellblade Senua’s Saga coming to PS5?

Personally i think almost every first party title will come soon enough once they port it. Master Chief Collection will more than likely be the first Halo drop but before that i think Gears of War might come to PlayStation since Master Chief is still the main Xbox mascot and might rock the boat more.

Horizon is more of an open world type of game compared to say Motorsport under the Forza IP which follows a more traditional Gran Turismo system. I guess you could compare Horizon a lot more to NFS games in that regard and reviews have all praised it. I just personally refuse to buy until its dirt cheap because they don't include the game on disc and expect you to download it all.

It's a beautiful game for sure. However I refer to it as a high speed sight-seeing game. If you enjoy driving fast and admiring the pretty landscapes, well then you might enjoy this. But when you can just freely mow over trees, guard rails, etc with no consequence, not even speed reduction, it diminishes the intensity that a racing game should provide. It's a good game and the production quality is as high as you're going to find. I just prefer track based "GT" style racing over open world.
