I'll ask again - Is the Imprint bluray the NC-17 cut? If so, it would be the same cut as the incoming KL one. PQ will probably be different as KL planned to do a new scan.

I don't have that Blu-ray so can't confirm, but if the 85-minute runtime is correct, that must be the NC-17 cut.

According to this Los Angeles Times article, there are four different versions of the film.

1) Theatrical Cut = NC-17: 85 min
2) Unrated: 87 min
3) R-rated: 80 min
4) R-rated with the different title "If You Can’t Say It, Just See It.": 80 min

Thanks. If it's the same cut for KL, I have to rethink whether to wait for it, or just pick up the imprint release.

Looks like KL's release is coming out in January. Given it's the same version, I just opted to pick up the Imprint release. KL confirmed the extras on the Imprint release will stay exclusive to that copy so I figure if KL has some other interesting extras, I'll just grab it separately when it drops.

The interview with Theresa Russell on the Imprint is fantastic.

Anyone know what the KL extra's will be?

Thanks; that's good to know.

I don't think KL has said anything about those yet--only that they're different because KL couldn't license the ones on the Imprint release. I'd imagine we'll hear soon though since KL Insider said it's a January release.

Here's the release info - I couldn't find it on the forums here but at the Criterion threads:

Kino have a new commentary and a new interview. None of Imprint's extras have been carried over. I asked KLI if theirs is the same scan and he said he doesn't know, lmao, so I imagine it is just the same master. Wasted opportunity.

Yup, as expected. I ordered the Imprint copy; the extras on that one look to be far and away superior.

Waited a long time to get a disc release of Wh0re, so glad to get the bluray from Imprint.

I'll buy the Kino Lorber as well at the right price.

The Kino cover for Wh0re looks great.

Absolutely love this film (big fan of Ken Russell and Theresa), so double-dipping for the Kino was not a big deal to me, especially given the new commentary and interview with the screenwriter. Got my copy today. I will of course be keeping the Imprint disc given that it has that fantastic Theresa Russell interview on it. I remember Kino's announcement for this a couple of years ago and I was beginning to think it wasn't going to be happening. At that time, I'm not sure they intended on releasing it through their Kino Cult line—I'm guessing that decision was made at some point after.

Yes it's at the right price today.

Theresa Russell a very underrated actress. This film and Black Widow are my favorites.
