Did you complete all of the games you bought for PSVR 1? I have a few to complete. I never completed Moss 2 VR, or Along Together VR, as I got stuck and couldn't get past those puzzles. Then some other games just weren't worth completing or too difficult/not fun. Too many other things to do. Do you watch blu ray 3D movies on your PSVR1? I will watch blu ray 3D on it when the disc doesn't work on my PS3 for my 3D projector in the other room. |

I also have a couple of missions to complete on IEYTD2. I watched a few 3D films as a novelty, but I use my projector or tv as a rule (I have a spare 3D tv that still works fine). There was something magical about first gen VR, it kind of felt like the days of the Atari, with all the exciting future possibilities. Last edited by Steedeel; 04-23-2025 at 03:47 PM. |

I have some time today, so I'm going to try to port all of my VR games back to PS4's internal storage so I can freely play with a corded controller again, since the PS4 only allows two USBs on the front and refuses to accept my Hub USB port for anything but a controller. That's cool you have a projector. Even without a roll down screen, projected onto a white wall, it is awesome for watching movies. Mine is still going from 2020, now 2025. Hopefully many more bulb hours but I bought a spare bulb set up just in case. Good for 3D or 2D movies on disc through my PS3 or PS4. Yeah, PSVR1 was fun there as new games were arriving in large numbers for awhile there until about 2020. 2019 being the last big year for PSVR1's game library. I don't even know if there are new games on there now. I think everything went to PSVR2. PSVR2, Sony should've brought over Astro Bot and ported the other 2 Astro bot games too for PSVR2. Big loss as that was my all time favorite PSVR1 game. I think I'll play some of that now with some time today. A number of new games were announced for PSVR2, including a Truck Simulation game, which is a first I think for PSVR2, but hardly as much talk for this thread like the PSVR1 thread had ongoing for a good few years there. I wonder how many are still 100% on board with PSVR2. I know some are but not as many as when first announced. Last edited by Zivouhr; 04-27-2025 at 04:26 PM. |

I still like the idea of VR and don’t regret buying the PSVR2, but I admittedly almost never use it. I really need to get back into it and play some of the games I have. Never finished Star Wars Tales from Galaxy’s Edge, nor have I played either of the Moss games at all. Plus Pavlov is a cool online FPS game, but I need to try to play it standing. It doesn’t seem possible to easily run when you’re sitting. Hope other cool games come out for it.

Just not enough creativity yet. I wanted to see a City Explorer game, where you walk through a real world city location but in VR and achieve small tasks or bigger goals if you want when not free roaming. Nothing like that yet. Max Mustard is as close to Astrobot as possible, so that's a big plus for PSVR2. Moss 1 is worth trying. Moss 2, that one has a much steeper learning curve. More complicated abilities to figure out. I'm stuck in that game and should get back to it on PSVR1. |

This truck VR game will probably be lower quality, but it's a start where finally there are some truck simulation games going to VR. PSVR and VR I think are ideal for slower paced games. At least for me. When I'm a passenger and trying to read a book in a moving, shifting car, I get dizzy and feel sick until I stop reading. Same with some VR games unfortunately, like any time I would jump in Xing, Bound, and other games where fast movements suddenly stop. My balance can't handle that while sitting down. |

Agree, puzzle games where you can take your time work great. The constant tension of Resident Evil was my highlight for more mobile movement. |

I think I remember you said your home doesn't have an air conditioner in the window, which really helps cool things down and make computers safer too including PS5, from overheating. If I didn't have an AC, it would be too warm to even fall asleep. The electric bill monthly cost is not bad either (compared to my heating bill) and well worth the comfort. |

in the US, some humid summers (like 2024), it can get stifling hot indoors and on 2nd floors here. My pets would suffer without AC too. If you could see any PSVR2 game or Meta Quest 3 game made that's not available now, what kind of VR game would you like to see made? For me, I'd like a VR game that lets you visit real world cities, but then go the extra step and let you walk into all of the interiors, including museums, delis, pizzerias, ice cream shops, book stores, etc. as a tourist, and you'd get points for the more items you discovered randomly hidden in the game each time you played (so it's never the same place to keep it fresh). The whole appeal would be seeing realistic places like New York City as if you were almost there. They could put in crowds like they did for games on 360's Dead Rising 1. Hundreds of pedestrians during rushhour, or hardly any at night. No games like that yet, even on Steam in 2D. PSVR2 is going to finally get a Truck Driving VR game. Not sure about the developer though yet. |

That VR experience sounds cool, my personal preference is just more puzzle games built from the ground up for VR, stuff like Statik. |

Statik, even that first puzzle was tricky. A very clever game. On that genre of puzzles, this could be cool in VR, although a lot of puzzles could be spoiled in 3D, as this is a 2D game where 2D helps solve puzzles with the alignment, kind of Statik. |

![]() Seeing these games, there's nothing that grabs my interest to buy PSVR2. Max Mustard type games, similar to Astrobot, seem too few in number for PSVR2. I'd like more simulator truck driving games for PSVR2 that are of a good quality. Not cheap cash ins. Something like Fernbus Simulator in VR could've been great. I think what really happens is the same issue for PS4's PSVR1. We get a game that often struggles to get 30 fps on PS5, so it would need to reduce the quality considerably to hit PSVR2's 60 fps requirement for stereo 3D dual cameras, making it render twice the load (2 cameras). For those with PSVR2, are you still playing your favorite games? I'll replay some favorites like Astrobot VR Missions for PSVR1 soon. I still need to complete Moss 2. |
