JFK - Director's cut, removed from iTunes US ?

Bought JFK - Director's cut, but now it appears to have been removed from iTunes US ?

Anyone else experienced this with JFK?

Yes, it has. But it's still in my library so I don't worry that it's no longer in the store. It's probably a rights squabble.

same here, but if there was iTunes extras on JFK I am not able to access them anymore, but I cant remember if the was

There were not extras on either version of JFK. And they are both still in my library.

Sadly the hidden version is also now only HD. Hopefully it goes back to 4K soon.

My DC copy bought a few weeks ago through iTunes is still there and plays in DV.

Sorry to re-raise this, but I just wondered which version of JFK I have...

If I simply go to iTunes and search for JFK, there is a version showing that is asking me to purchase.

But if I look at my past purchases, there is a version of JFK in my library, but I cannot see what version it is, and whether it will playback in HD or 4K...

Will this be the old standard version, or is it possibly the Director's Cut?

The DC only became available a few months ago, so if you've owned it longer than that it's probably the TC. But, to check, search the title and after you click on it scroll down to the "How to Watch section" If there's an option to purchase a 4K version, you'll know if you only have the TC or not.

Thanks for that...I only asked as I wasn't at home, so couldn't check on my Apple TV...

I'm home now, and went to see, and it is indeed the DC version...however, it only appears to payback in HD, unfortunately.

I kind of remember that it was 4K in the past, but maybe something happened and Apple only have it in HD now...shame, as I don't really wan't to buy it again (in TC version) just to get it in 4K.

Apple has a bug with a lot of 4K movies where they will only playback in HD and there really is no rhyme or reason to it. It took a year for my 4K purchase of Tomb Raider to finally play in 4K which only was fixed in the last few weeks. There are a number of other films I own with the same problem and it spans different studios, iTunes only and MoviesAnywhere titles.

I just bought Moonage Daydream 4K last week and right after the purchase checked it and it is another that is showing as HD so I will end up just checking it once a week until it is fixed and then finally watch it once it is working in 4K.
