Blu-ray Samurai

With that name, it must be based on Jussi Adler Olsen's very succesful 'Afdeling Q' novel series, which has been adapted for six Danish feature films so far.
I guess Olsen must have sold the series rights to Netflix, but I don't know what novels they are allowed to adapt... For those not knowing, Dept. Q is the 'career graveyard' where a burned out cop and his assistant are tasked with solving (or dismissing) unsolved cases. |

That's just a remake of the first Dept Q film The Keeper of Lost Causes from 2013.

According to this site, the Danish releases of the first four have English subs.
I can't verify with my discs atm, because most of my blu-ray collection is currently boxed up and at my mum's place, because of renovations in my flat. |

I really enjoyed the first season. Will watch more if they make them. Will have to try and track down the movies as well.

Apparently there's some conflict behind the scenes in the Danish film series. The first four were produced by the same company with the same cast. Apparently the books author (Jussi Adler-Olsen) was not happy with them and pulled a Kirkman/Walking Dead (or Mignola/Hellboy) and had a stronger say with the last two films which featured an entirely new cast. But the popularity of the films suffered... |
