Wink Let's Get Physical

I believe I posted the following in the wrong forum, so am reposting it here. Hopefully I got it right:

As an old codger, I've been somewhat plussed (as opposed to non-plussed) by the invasion of non physical access to movies. (i.e. paying to stream) On the one hand it means I have access to pretty well every movie ever made, but on the other hand I pause before calling that access part of my collection.

This has probably been said a million times already, but my Netflix, Prime and many other subscriptions mean I'm paying dearly for access to movies that will leave the site soon, or disappear altogether when the particular streaming platform goes under, as is realistically a probability sometime in the future.

Hence the need for inventory catalog software of my physical disks that works. The app that's available in combination with this web site works, although IMO it's somewhat "kludgey." (pronounced "kloogey")

But I'll comply. This is my third post in my attempt to climb the mount called "participation." But what happens if I don't participate often enough once I reach that 10 post pinnacle?

I guess we'll see, especially since this platform is more prone to stick around than, say, a small software company like ANT who made a decent product and then abandoned it, then showed up again.
