Sheldons dad passed in 1994, so at the very latest this season takes place in 1995/1996. For all we know even though Georgie dropped out he could have taken his equivalency exam.

The bulk of his finances for the store came from the credit and collateral of Mary and the house. If you remember before she agreed to co sign, Georgie was denied at every bank he attempted to get a loan at.

In the years were looking at as long as you had a solid business plan and collateral you could get a loan.

P.S. To me, Mrs. Cooper should've just hung the phone up when she got the phone call from Mandy's mom and when Missy finally came home, she should've said, "You better pray that cigarettes and bad language is the only thing that I choose to be guilty of because right now there is no net underneath the tightrope that you are currently walking!!!"

I agree with you, that would have been a great response for Mary to make, but it was probably shortened for time. Missy had no right to complain about her mother's language. What Missy did was worse than what her mother said. Actions always speak louder than words. Don't complain about the symptoms if you're the one spreading the disease, and don't push people's buttons because you might push the button that turns them into your worst nightmare.

This is my message to kids (especially teenagers)-If your parents are crazy, it's because you made them that way.

^^^ What you said about symptoms and diseases couldn't be any more on target, but I have to disagree with what you said about kids being who make their parents crazy. I couldn't be anymore living proof that sometimes the parents are already crazy even before the kids are even thought of.

Jim might not have the money to hire Connor, or might not feel he's qualified to work at the tire shop. But you're right in saying that there are other jobs Connor could get. You would handle it better as a parent, in my opinion. Instead of making your son work in the same building as you, you'd tell him, "I don't care what kind of job you get as long as you get a job by (insert date here)." Maybe in Season 2, he'll start working alongside Chloe at the music store. Or maybe he'll form a traveling music group. Connor, Chloe, and Dale could be a musical trio that would play music at birthday parties and wedding receptions. But I imagine the show's writers can come up with something better. We'll just have to wait and see.

I'm just glad the show isn't neglecting Connor the way "The Big Bang Theory" neglected Raj. A lot of the time, Raj was barely in the show.

we know very little. For all we know he brought him years ago and he was a disaster and had to be let go. You can't force someone to be work where they don't want to, it will cause a toxic work environment.

I binge Watched Season 1 last Friday. I Loved it. I missed the multi Camera Style a lot, so for me the Change is really good.
I loved the Chemistry between charakters also I loved that everytime Sheldons Dead got involved it got serious. No Jokes than, just full heart. Always got tears in my Eyes and made me think about my Dad who I lost two Years ago.
Can't wait for Season 2

Interesting. So Annie Potts' new series, Best Medicine, is based on the British show, Doc Martin, which ran ten seasons over eighteen years (I have all the blu-rays). Doc Martin is a very quirky, very "Britishy" show and I hope it can be given a good American treatment.

I hope she has time to do more Meemaw too.

I'm looking forward to Season 2. I hope Georgie and his partner get to work on a really cool car, like a Chevrolet Corvette or a Lamborghini. In addition to changing the tires, they could also insert new brake pads. That would be cool to see on either of those cars.
