If it's strong or medium strong I will get it. But I'm not seeing any comments about the strength.

In the early pages, Creed said it has medium to high medium 3D layers, even though his theater had dim projection. That sounds pretty good.
I have not kept track of the FF films, so this one in 3D could be good to see.

Were any of the other Fast & Furious films released on a 3D blu-ray, or is #9 the first one?

Only Hobbs & Shaw, which has very mild 3D.

China had some local 3D conversions for 7 and 8. If you can get over how bad FF9 is, the 3D might be good with the action set pieces.

Thanks for the info! Got that one in the collection already.

Not sure how many of the FF franchise I've seen, apart from Hobbs & Shaw. I know I have seen several, but they are all sort of forgettable action-packed amusement park rides, if you will. I haven't seen #9 yet, but will once my order from Turbine arrives.

In terms of the conversion quality (as opposed to the movie itself) how good/bad are those Chinese conversion?

Nah, it’s better than that IMO. A decent medium, and it definitely enhances the viewing experience.

I almost impulse bought this after the 50% EU tariffs were announced (with no info on de minimis) but since those are delayed another month I held off again. Just not really interested in seeing this movie again and I saw the other 2 in 3D on vudu. I'll wait to hear some hands on impressions of the 3D on the disc version.

I am tempted to watch it later tonight so will report back if I do. I'm not expecting it to be any better than Hobbs & Shaw though.

The 3D in Hobbs and Shaw was fine I thought, I've watched that one quite a few times. One of the better F and F movies imo. If it's anything like that I'll be happy.

I am watching it now, some scenes are stronger than others but the 3D I think overall is better than H&S. Definitely pleased I didn't put this one off until the next bundle.

I think more over-the-top action offers more opportunities to showcase the 3D. It definitely sounds great. I'm really looking forward to see it. How wonderful that thanks to Turbine we can now put another part of the franchise on the shelves in 3D

Yeah, I had a big smile on my face rewatching this one, it really does work well in 3D with the insanely ridiculous action scenes going as far as outer space. If No Time To Die looks this good it's a tragedy that hasn't come to disc.
