I would expect that yes for next week. But for the day 2 stuff which is what i think you were talking about, we pretty much got just the stalker building and brief encounters with the wolves and scars.

I wouldn't expect the Shambler this season, which is a bit of a bummer, but I get that they wanted to focus on the Stalkers, and since I'm a fan of the Stalkers, I'm not too torn up. Maybe they just didn't want to focus on too many types at once, especially since the Shamblers are similar to the Bloaters in many regards. Maybe we'll see them next season as the next step in whatever evolution the Cordyceps is taking on, but I'm sure they wouldn't want to upstage the Rat King at all (if such a thing is possible).
I'm definitely curious as to the sequence of events in the finale- if they put the aquarium first and then the Seraphites, or if they reverse it and make it a fight to get back to the theater. I wonder if there's any interaction between the Seraphites and Ellie at all- I think the trailer might be a little misleading- I think the shot of the Seraphite child might be an Isaac flashback (maybe showing the start of the conflict?) both Ellie and Isaac are shown in dark, rainy shots, but the ground the kid is standing on doesn't seem to match the area that Ellie washes up on. There's also that shot of someone in what looks like a Hummer, but I can't tell if it's Abby or Hanrahan. I wouldn't mind a little more backstoty on the start of the conflict. |

Havok83, I wouldn't say yet that they've cut those out, because it's still Day 2 in the show. She's returning to the theater at the end of ep 6.

This finale episode is bad. Not a strong end to a pretty mediocre second season. Last week’s episode is the only one from season 2 that felt up to the quality of season 1.

On the show, they've really downplayed Ellie's dark side. I thought they'd lean ino it after what happened with Nora, but nope. I don think it was a good choice to have her come across sympathetic as she was the victim in the Owen and Mel scene. In the game, she did something horrible and it was intentional. Here, it felt more like a an unforseen accident The actress playing Abby did great in that theater scene. She seemed believable as a threat despite not having the physique. The darkness and griit was there which I felt was missing from Ellie I do feel ths episode was choppy at times. From Isaac's random appearance, the Scars nearly sacrificing Ellie and then quitting bc of another disturbance. I think this episode will hold up better when the third season fills in those gaps and provides the context bc iit would come across weak for those that dont have an idea o fwhats going on |

I thought the finale was perfect, and loved the little change they made along the way to the Aquarium. It does sort of represent one action moment in the game, but story wise it does have more important implications for a connection with next season which is fantastic.
I think the season as a whole is nearly perfect. There are only two small changes I would have made: First, I would have combined the first two episodes into one big episode, and removed Abby's flashback moment. I prefer the idea that we don't know who the WLF are, and we don't know who Abby is before the big moment happens Next, I would have had Ellie confront Joel about what happened in SLC right after Eugene's death, rather than combining it with the porch scene. While I think those two conversations flow together really well the way they did it in the show, I think you really want some time between Joel's confession and Ellie's willingness to be open to forgiving him. I think you could have kept the part where Joel said he loved her and linked it to his father's words on the porch scene, but Ellie asking what happened in SLC should have been an earlier scene. Other than those two points, I really have no notes. I have loved this season considerably more than the first season. First season I thought was flawless for the first 5 episodes, but the last 4 didn't quite hit as well as I was hoping. This season has been nearly flawless week after week. I am really excited for Abby's story. I hope there's a chance it premieres late 2026, but early 2027 might be likely depending on how long it takes them to film. Supposedly filming permits are confirmed starting June 30th. Even if it takes them a full year to film, they'd be finishing filming by next summer, so a fall or December release might be possible. |

I don't understand your comment. What are you even talking about? I thought it was a fantastic cliffhanger, a great way to tease the next season.

Is say episode 2 as well. But yea the drop off in quality is actually impressive. It seems the only ones that say otherwise are fans of the game

I still don't understand what you're referring to. Everything feels like it was set up fairly well imo and makes sense. The cliffhanger was fantastic, handled perfectly imo.
