Shinobi 4 Art of Vengeance - pending August 29 2025

I'm surprised there weren't more games in the popular series. Sega took forever to reboot their franchises, too over-consumed with Sonic games for decades.

Well there was a 2D Shinobi on Saturn, it was decent but people didn't seem to like the graphics style (similar look to the original Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter: The Movie). Also, the live-action cinematics in between levels were b-movie gold

Shinobi and Nightshade/Kunoichi for PS2 might be the only 3D entries, they were really challenging and could use a port with some control updates. After that, a generic GBA game or two killed off the series for years.
