I'm also wondering if this upcoming release will bring back the slipbox or become a slipcover version instead.

Watched the Kino disc last week and was actually stunned how good it looked. Although I now have a habit of waiting for a UK Arrow release now for big titles, not bothered by this one.

My one issue with the Kino is that the contrast looks at least a bit excessive. Otherwise, fantastic disc.

Gotcha. I was going by Svet's review where he states it's the same master, but I guess we should know not to trust that.

Svet also said the included Kino BD is from the same 4K restoration (which, to be fair, Kino incorrectly mentioned), when it is actually a dated MGM master, older logo plastered and everything.

Yes. Arrow had both, lost both, Kino got US, UK was in limbo for whatever reason, and Arrow finally got the UK again. Not the first time this has happened for Arrow.

I think it will still be slipbox, just with a different artwork and booklet.

Either Kino's or another brand new 4K master. Capelight got Kino's in Germany.

Watch the highlights, shadow detail, and inky black levels on Kino's Some Like It Hot 4k. You can expect that on The Apartment Arrow disc, so yes, it will look even better with HDR.
