Looks fantastic, one of two announced projects at TGA 2024 from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio (developer of all of the Yakuza/Like a Dragon/Judgment games), the other being a new Virtua Fighter.

Definitely noticed it was a little more "brutal" than the Yakuza games. Lots of blood, little doubt that you're actually killing these guys you're fighting. Kiryu would not approve, lol.

There's too many damn Yakuza games for me to get into the series properly but when I see this it makes me really want to dive in. Hope this is a one off, isolated original thing because it looks fun.

The open worlds in these games are relatively small though, compared to other games. Well, this one may be different of course. But if it's like other Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio games, the map won't be huge.

The first trailer is 1915, second trailer is 1943. If it started out as project century, I expect we will see a few other dates a generation apart.

First saw someone mentioning this in the comments for the reveal teaser trailer, but if you pause at about 1.57 while the screen is flashing yellow right before the "Stranger than Heaven" title reveal, you'll see some dates written in the corner. "1915, 1929, 1943" with a series of dates below it that are blurred out.

That could potentially be quite frustrating with lots of missable substories.
