They can make a sequel for this sequel of Rebirth which hasn't even hit theaters yet, and should be planning it already as a trilogy. 3 is a lucky number and audiences like when movies are in 3's.

I'm sure most of the leads signed a contract for a trilogy. And hopefully Koepp will be along for those as well.

The beauty of it all is that Spielberg is still the mastermind behind the entire franchise.

Is Spielberg still the one making final decisions? That's at least hopeful.
I hope Rebirth is very good.
Things have been just okay since Fallen Kingdom JW.

I think him and Frank Marshall are responsible for a lot of the big decisions.

Sorta. I mean, Spielberg does have that power. For example, Universal also wants to make another Jaws movie. Spielberg said no and would have said no to the previous Jaws sequels as well if he had that power at that time. But ultimately he lets the studios and filmmakers do what they want when his not directing em *COUGHDIALOFDESTINYCOUGH*. So Spielberg being involve doesn't mean anything. I don't think people realize how much of a good portion of Hollywood Spielberg controls. He is pretty much involved with some of your other favorite franchises as well like Shrek, Men In Black, Twister, etc, etc. Again, doesn't mean anything.
