When will DVD production stop?

It comes down this for me. I watch most of my physical media on my BD drive at my computer I hardly ever watch my physical media on my standalone player at my T.V.I can watch Blu Ray and DVD on my computer via my BD drive where I prefer to view my movies. I'll never be able to watch 4K disks on my computer so I'm not upgrading to a format I can't use where i would actually like to use it.

Please don't take offense at this, none is intended, and I know many people watch media primarily on their computer, but I'm genuinely curious; why choose to watch movies on a smaller screen with (presumably) worse sound when you have better available?
