I personally would love if they had an online open world game set to the RE lore. Think The Divison where you can complete missions solo or team up with up to like 4-6 of you to complete bigger encounters.

That said, I wouldn't mind a semi open world spin off for RE either where you maybe did have an investigation angle that this games going for where you try to piece things together for the main story and maybe that investigation yields different endings.
