For anyone that hasn't seen this, I highly recommend it. I wish Connery and Caine made more films together as they had great chemistry in this. I consider it the "last great" John Huston film, with apologies to Prizzi's Honor fans .

Actually, his last GREAT film was sadly, his last ... The Dead.

And boy does that need, require, an upgrade. Best Film of 1987. What a beautiful film to go out on.

Remember that Clark Gable film will be part of the upcoming 4 film Gable Collection later this year. It goes for $37, then it would cheaper to wait and get the 4 pack. Unless you already have the others in the set, of course.

That's me trying to resist HUMORESQUE right now because I would bet the farm that a Joan Crawford 4 pack will be on the way soon. (I don't have a farm so I would bet someone else's).

I should check that one out. I have loved Dorothy McGuire since I was kid, watching films like Old Yeller and Swiss Family Robinson. She just seemed like the perfect woman . She was great in The Spiral Staircase too.

I just bought ENCHANTED COTTAGE so fast. This JUST CAME OUT 6 days ago! That's a new record for an affordable WAC I think.

Hoping this bodes well for future titles.

Me too! It must have just dropped in price. My price tracker still shows it at 23.99. But I saw it pop up in the new deals at the top of this site. It looks like a great film. Clocking in at a solid 7.5 on IMDb.

Checked my copy of Colt .45: The Complete Series this past weekend (in terms of the packaging). It has some minor dents on some of the edges of the outer cardboard slipcase, but everything else is fine. Disc 7 in the case for the final season was loose but had no scratches. No broken pieces of plastic in any of the three Blu-ray cases.

When I do eventually order the Cheyenne set from Deep Discount it'll be ordered on it's own with no other titles (that's not me saying I should have made a separate order with Deep Discount of the Colt .45 set on it's own. For all I know, I could have ordered it on it's own and it still would have arrived with the same minor dents). Weighing it up, the positives outweigh the negatives. My copy of A Man Called Shenandoah arrived from Amazon with no damage, so the hope is that if Cheyenne arrives perfectly fine that will balance things out.

Would have bitten at this now, but I'll keep a eye on it's Amazon price (hopefully it'll be at a similar price in a few weeks time as I can't get it and the other WAC Blu-ray film titles I had planned on getting at the moment).
