UPS says the unit is arriving Tuesday afternoon. I've booked off the following 2 days and my family knows that I'll be unavailable for that period... I had a harder than expected time upgrading from the 4500 to the 6700 just to gain a 3rd pair of height channels. I almost immediately started wondering about wides. With the 6700, I had to decide between the two...Now, I can have both..

I don't feel like ever upgrading my Paradigm speakers and they aren't even the monitor series they are Titans. If and when I do though I will ask to check in your backyard.. I use 8 of these very inexpensive speakers and have replaced the foam surround in all of them that I know of. I gave another 2 to my daughter for her little vinyl setup.

If and when I do want to upgrade just going a notch higher with Paradigm would be my choice because they have been brilliant. Maybe next year because this year I'm enjoying buying a lot of movies. Like Corpse Bride UHD which I just pre ordered.

Hot is hot and cold is cold..what is different are humidex and wind chill factors that can better account for "real feel" levels. Much is made over here about how hot Paris has been getting over the last few summers. My sample size is miniscule, but my experience last week was that, in our flat we could sleep comfortably by simply opening a few windows and judiciously positioning a couple of fans even as temperatures were well over 30 degrees. That would not be possible in Barcelona or even back here in Toronto where AC is an absolute must...
yeah there is a lot more than absolute temp that affects how people feel. I had that discussion with a Greek friend and some others. I would rather have a Montreal -10c to a Greek 10c and would rather have a Greek 35c (especially on an island) to a Montreal 25c.

But it is not just about people.

over head cost. Let me with an analogy a BD on my shelf will have the size of the BD case, but if I bought it on line the size of what I will get will be bigger it will be the size of the bubble wrap envelope or box it came in, it will never be the BD case as is. Same here the movie that is streaming (like all internet traffic) will be divided into packets, each packet then at a minimum will also need to include some kind of order info (this is #1, this is #2, this is #3 so it can all be put back together) and the address of where it is headed....

Here's an upcoming release with your name all over it, Brian:

"Description: The ultimate deep dive into the world of shark cinema: filmmakers, critics, scholars, and conservationists explore the cultural impact on audiences and this misunderstood species."

Thanks!

I have also been recommended the Shark Whisperer on Netflix.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3230752...sRefViewPref=1

I was already familiar with Ocean Ramsey. She's charming and I don't understand why Sharks don't eat her but I suppose it's good that they don't.

got rid of prime recently. If it is something I need fast I would always go directly to a store and buy itm anything else can wait. IMHO there was a time when Amazon had good deals on prime day, but have not seen any in a while.

Even with cutting out purchases from the US, I absolutely could not live without AMAZON PRIME...

Was reading up on my A1H purchase Friday night before going to bed... looking at the back panel, DENON had to change the orientation of the speaker terminals to fit 15 (actually 17) channels of amplification.. I don't think I'll be able to use the same banana plugs from the 6700h (horizontal vs vertical).. ordered single plugs before I went to bed - Delivered before I woke up at 8:30AM the next day on a SATURDAY !

Prime is amazing. Could be evil ... perhaps but .... very good in a way.

Watched a really cool theatrical release that will most likely get buried this weekend due to it not being flashy or a tentpole film. I actually enjoyed it a bit more than 28 Years Later.

It's called 40 Acres:
