First time receiving a subscription shipment and have what is likely a silly question. I received shipping notices for all the additional titles bought that gets added to the sub shipment, but no shipping notice for the sub titles. Is it safe to assume they are just included in the box and you do not get a shipping notification for these unless nothing else has been added to the delivery?

That's correct - the sub titles are never listed in the shipping notice!

Yes. AFAIK if you only have subscription titles, you don't get a shipping notice.

I don't think I have ever gone a month without ordering something and my notices are only for the extra titles...

I said the same thing.
Shrink wrap on the outside of the slip tends to damage the corners.
This does seem to disproportionately affect Kino releases.

Smalll, but nonetheless exciting box of goodies from the Subscriber Sale showed up today. No special tape on the box for Alien Invasion theme.









Order was packed extremely well. The Zine is of very high quality, the cover has the feel of a sturdy paperback book cover. Caught up now on all back catalog VS titles. Just want Drop Zone and Jade still from this years titles. Hope everyone gets their orders soon and in great condition!!

Hopefully you'll see some HK releases from Vinegar Syndrome during the remainder of this year Duke. While I would most like to see some new slasher titles from them (ideally never on Blu-ray before), the odd HK title I may be interested in. If there was a giallo released on Blu-ray before that I'd like VS to do a deluxe release of, one of them would be So Sweet So Dead.

So sweet so dead is a guilty pleasure and one of my favourite gialli. Perfectly serviceable Code Red BD, but I'd buy a deluxe release in heartbeat.

However, it's Tessari's Uomo sense memoria that's the one giallo that screams for a quality upgrade. Loses points for being too similar to Duvivier's Diabolically yours, but a top tier entry for me. The VCI release was a joke. Kinda hope Indicator or Celluloid Dreams will get round to them, as VS typically bundles such entries in their Forgotten gialli anthologies and Indicator are already improving upon the Pradeaux film, as they mention in the related thread.

Speaking of films involving memory loss, I wonder what's keeping anyone from releasing Sollima's superior Devil in the brain on disc.

VS have hinted at a Volume 9 being in preparation, if I recall correctly, no?

If you're interested in the line, I recommend grabbing 8 at discounted MSRP, and hunting for 7. You never know what might show up in a store, on eBay or these forums.

This was a very important thing for me and I think we got it, it's a boxier shrink wrap like Arrow's (which was the example I cited for the factory). I haven't noticed any issues in the bunch that I examined and unwrapped but please, please let us know if you have any issues.

This is really supposed to help both our warehouse operations and customers with decreasing any normal smudges/bumps etc that come from product being in a warehouse or in transit so if you're noticing the wrap making things at all worse, we should know about it.

For those not familiar w the show, they have a segment near the end of ea show called 2nd Opinions where they read funny 5 star reviews of the movie they are covering off Amazon.

With this particular episode, Paul mentions he had trouble finding 5 star reviews off Amazon so he pulled reviews from other places. One review he reads from is off Letterboxd from a guy named Justin LaLiberty.

The HDTGM crew know some things, like they are aware of VS.And I could be wrong, but I suspect that they are not aware that Justin is w the label.
